Transparency and Safety
Since we launched in 2015, all Mason Bottle products have always been 100% Made in the USA, mostly at a female-owned factory in New York State that we love like family. Massive supply chain disruption due to the coronavirus pandemic meant that some of our USA Made sources dried up.
That disruption is still severe so now, our product line will also include items made at other high quality facilities around the world who can meet or exceed the same safety standards. We also certify that they provide a healthy high quality work environment for their employees.
It can be tough to find origin information on brand websites and especially on Amazon, so we created this page to give full transparency into our supply chain—not just where it’s made, but also why!

Starting in April or May 2020, products that include jars will be only "mostly USA made". The only non-USA made component will be the jars. We used to source USA Made Ball Brand mason jars, but Ball Brand hasn’t been able to fulfil any orders for us since late 2019 (they still service their very largest customers like Walmart, Target, Ace Hardware, etc).
The silver lining to this change is that we have been able to create our own custom jars in China that have much better volume markings for milk storage and bottle feeding. These jars have passed the exact same safety tests as our old jars with flying colors.
Stainless Steel Bottles
The straw top, ring and cap on the stainless steel water bottle are all USA made. The stainless Steel Jar itself is made in China. There are no small domestic stainless steel factories in the US. To our knowledge, all stainless steel bottles available to consumers are coming from China or other parts of Asia. We would love to find a domestic supplier, so please message us if you know one!

New Product Lines
As mentioned above, our stainless steel mason jars are made in China since there’s no domestic production. And the glass mason jars (and single-piece plastic lids that fit them) are also made in China due to our USA made supplier’s inability to fulfill our orders.
Will Mason Bottle permanently keep production of certain products abroad?
Not at all - if there is any possibility at all, of economically and realistically sourcing any of our currently non-USA made products closer to home, then that will be a priority. Our team will always be reviewing the situation and make the right decisions and changes whenever possible.
