Why a mason jar?
At Mason Bottle, we believe healthy doesn't have to be high end. Since glass baby bottles can be expensive, we knew making a bottle compatible with mason jars would help families save money, especially if they already have jars at home. Mason jars are also a cleaner and more cost-effective alternative to breast milk storage bags. Simply store breast milk in a mason jar, then add the Mason Bottle nipple to turn it into a bottle.

Why a wide nipple?
The width of a mason jar lends itself perfectly to a breast-like nipple shape that is easier for babies to latch onto. What is it about the wide nipple? We can't say exactly, but we can tell you that we have shipped nearly 1000 orders, and have yet to hear a report of a baby rejecting our nipple. If your baby didn't take to our nipple, please let us know at hello@masonbottle.com. We'd love to see if we can help.

Where is Mason Bottle made?
Mason Bottle is 100% Made in the USA!

How do I know which nipple is which?
When you look at the top of the nipple, you can tell which size it is by the pattern of the holes:

Slow Flow: 1 Hole
Medium Flow: 2 Holes in a Straight Line
Fast Flow: 3 Holes in a Triangle Shape
Fastest Flow: Y Shaped Cut

How do I clean the Mason Bottle?
The glass jars, nipples and caps can go right into the dishwasher. For the metal lid and band, we recommend rinsing and thoroughly drying these pieces to extend their life.

Be sure to clean the bottle before first use. To sterilize the nipples, simply boil them in water for 5 minutes.

Is the Mason Bottle dishwasher safe?
Mason Bottle's silicone sleeves, silicone nipples, plastic cap, and of course the glass mason jars are all dishwasher safe. The metal lid and band can rust over time, so we recommend simply rinsing and thoroughly drying those pieces. We're working on a dishwasher safe band, which we plan to release by early 2017.

What if the bottle leaks?

Mason Bottle products are designed to work with any regular-mouth mason jar, and should never leak. We haven't had any reports of leaking thus far, but if you experience this, be sure to let us know so we can help you out at hello@masonbottle.com.

What's your return policy?

For health reasons, Mason Bottle can only accept returns and exchanges for unopened and unused items. We always recommend ordering a small quantity of product first. That way, if your baby doesn't take to the nipple (which is rare, but can happen with any bottle) you won't have made a large investment in bottles that don't work for your family.
